EXPECTATIONS

A passionate and nurturing team of educators committed to your child’s individual development and needs – The DMW team care! We know every child and their family and recognise the trust and responsibility each parent places in us. We are an experienced team of educators in Early Childhood yet continue to develop professionally for the benefit of the children in our care. We provide inspiring play spaces for children to explore and continue to look for ways we can grow as individuals and as a service.

A holistic program encompassing all areas of a child’s development and readily available to you online! We want to share your child’s experiences and development as it happens. Our secure online documentation platform allows us to communicate with families each day about your child’s routine, achievements, events and activities they have participated,  important services messages and more!

Fundraising – We love to give back to the community we feel so fortunate to be part of. Partnerships with The Rotary Club Engadine, Dandelion Support Network, Children’s Hospital and Cancer Council raising funds for research. Non monetary donations allow all families the opportunity to participate. ‘The gift of literacy’ book drive (Christmas 2016) and Consumables Drive (Christmas 2017),  all everyone to contribute something small to provide for those in our community less fortunate than we are.

A variety of amazing events & celebrations – We are committed to community, inclusion and fun! Concerts our children perform at and are part of, grandparent picnics, end of year celebrations, cultural and social events, are just a few! There is always something exciting happening at DMW, and all while developing our children and sharing special milestones.

The Discover My World Parent Community – Information evenings have so far included Positive behaviour guidance, Speech & language development, Transition to primary school, service communications, children’s development and more! We appreciate parents as primary caregivers and want to embrace this relationship in order to benefit the children whom we care for each day. It takes a village to raise a child!

Open, honest and real communications – About your child, our program, our developments and improvements as a service, topics of interest, factors impacting the service and our community. We welcome and respect parent feedback and suggestions on all aspects of the service – you are a prominent voice and help keep us offering exceptional service!

A range of services to support children’s wellbeing – Dental visits, vision screens, speech pathology, occupational therapy screens, hearing tests and ongoing support to meet individual needs of children.

This program brings together the youngest and eldest generations for an opportunity to share experiences and knowledge in a safe environment. Since 2015, we have offered a range of experiences including gardening, reading, creative arts and cooking as part of our weekly program. Visit us to find out more!
