Assistant Director

Lead, mentor and inspire our early learning community alongside our Service Director.

Role Overview

As an Assistant Director at Discover My World, you play a pivotal role in driving educational excellence, supporting room teams, and fostering warm relationships with families. Working alongside the Centre Director, you will help lead day-to-day operations, ensure high compliance standards, and champion a positive culture.

How You Contribute to Children & Families

Providing educational leadership and mentoring educators across all age groups

Building strong, open partnerships with parents and families from tour to transition

Supporting centre administration, staffing ratios, regulatory compliance, and EYLF programming

Fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel secure and educators thrive

What We Are Looking For

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching

Proven leadership experience in an early childhood setting

In-depth knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and EYLF

Warm, articulate communication skills and high emotional intelligence
