Role Overview

Mealtime is an essential part of the day at Discover My World. Our Service Cooks prepare fresh, nutritious breakfast, morning tea, hot lunches and afternoon snacks in our onsite kitchens, managing dietary requirements and making mealtimes an enjoyable, educational experience.

How You Contribute to Children & Families

Preparing seasonal 3-week rotating menus fresh daily in accordance with nutrition guidelines

Managing food allergies, intolerances, and infant solid introductions safely

Maintaining high kitchen hygiene, food safety documentation and inventory checks

Creating a welcoming kitchen atmosphere where children learn about healthy food

What We Are Looking For

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and commercial kitchen or childcare cooking experience

Understanding of early childhood nutrition and allergy management protocols

Punctual, organized and hygienic approach to kitchen operations

A friendly demeanor and passion for wholesome, delicious food
